Other Ways to Work Together
Alongside her individual therapy practice, Ruth offers three additional ways of working — for organizations seeking a different kind of leadership support, for clinicians deepening their own practice, and for therapists pursuing certification in sandplay. Each is rooted in the same underlying belief that real change begins with reconnection — to the self, to the body, to the symbolic.
Coaching
Depth-informed coaching for individuals, teams, and organizations navigating change, conflict, or growth that calls for more than a tactical fix.
Clinical Consulting
Consultation and supervision for clinicians integrating sandplay and depth-oriented work into their own practice.
Process Work
Personal sandplay process for therapists pursuing STA or ISST certification — currently open to new clients.
FOR ORGANIZATIONS & INDIVIDUALS
Coaching
Ruth offers coaching for organizations and individuals seeking the kind of clarity and self-understanding that conventional coaching models often miss. This is not therapy — it draws on the same depth of insight into human behavior, without a clinical frame. It is especially suited to leaders and teams navigating change, conflict, or growth that requires more than a tactical fix.
-
Organizations and companies seeking leadership or team coaching
Individuals seeking coaching outside a therapeutic frame
Existing clients wanting to extend the work into a coaching context
-
NEED: Format and cadence (one-off sessions vs. ongoing engagement), whether this is delivered on-site, via telehealth, or both, and typical engagement length.
-
NEED: a short, plain-language distinction. This matters most for the corporate reader, who needs to know this isn't clinical treatment before they'll consider bringing it into an organization.
FOR CLINICIANS & THERAPISTS
Clinical Consulting
Ruth leads consultation and supervision groups for clinicians working with sandplay and depth-oriented modalities. This is some of the work she finds most meaningful — a space for therapists to bring their own cases, questions, and countertransference into a container held with the same rigor and attunement she brings to client work.
-
Licensed clinicians incorporating sandplay or symbolic work into their practice
Therapists seeking supervision toward CST or other certification hours
Clinicians wanting ongoing peer consultation in a depth-oriented frame
-
NEED: Format - group vs. individual supervision, current group size/availability, meeting cadence (e.g. monthly), in-person vs. telehealth, and whether hours count toward STA/ISST certification requirements.
FOR THOSE PURSUING SANDPLAY CERTIFICATION
Process Work
For therapists pursuing certification through the Sandplay Therapists of America (STA) or the International Society for Sandplay Therapy (ISST), a personal process is a required part of the training path. Ruth works with candidates in their own sandplay process — the slow, individual excavation that certification asks of every practitioner before they can hold that space for others.
-
Therapists pursuing STA or ISST sandplay certification
Candidates who need a personal process as part of their training requirements
-
NEED: typical session frequency and length, whether this is telehealth-eligible or in-person only, and roughly how long candidates work with you before completing this portion of certification.
