This case consultation group is a collaborative, teaching-led environment which offers a deepening of clinical understanding, and exploration of symbolic material, and an opportunity to refine one’s practice within the tradition as developed by Dora Kalff.  

Over the six months of meetings, group content will include case consultation as well as exploration of topics in sandplay therapy as developed by Dora Kalff such as Jungian theory, archetypes, symbols, myth and story, co-transference, somatic elements, and the healing and transformation process as it unfolds in sandplay with adults and children.

All participants will have an opportunity to present a case for consultation.  Each presenter will meet for an individual 1 hour case consultation before their turn to present in order to go over case preparation.  This will be scheduled with each person individually as it is established.  

Group consultation is a powerful way to learn not only through one’s case presentation of their own client’s clinical work, but also by holding space for and witnessing the case material presented by peers.  Often, group members develop deep connections to one another as impacted by the group process.

Participation in this group offers CE’s toward STA/ISST certification as a sandplay therapist.
